Ministry Of Consolation

The Ministry of Consolation assist those families experiencing the loss of a loved one.  Members of the ministry assist family members in preparing the funeral liturgy of the deceased. Genuine concern and care is visible to those who mourn the death of a loved one so they will not grieve alone, and may come to know the healing comfort of God.

Each month the Parish Bereavement Support Group meets twice. There is a group that meets on the 2nd Tuesday afternoon (Feb. 9) at 1:00 p.m. in the meeting room in the Old Church. The second group meets on the 3rd Thursday evening (Feb. 17) at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Office. Grieving can be a lonely process and meeting with a group of people in similar circumstances can be helpful. Come and see if our Bereavement Group is for you.
