At St. Aloysius, we believe that praise and worship are an active, dynamic, integral link between God and His people. This ministry seeks to serve Him humbly in a spirit of excellence through music and to lead others into His presence so that we glorify God as one body with one voice through one Spirit. Opportunities to be a part of this ministry are available for those gifted with musical ability who have the desire to serve.

To join the music ministry, we request that you:

  • Be an actively participating member of St. Aloysius Parish
  • Be actively pursuing a close relationship with the Lord
  • Be teachable and able to receive direction from leadership
  • Commit to 6 months of music ministry
  • Complete interview/audition
  • Attend weekly rehearsals in the church each week and be punctual for Mass.

ENSEMBLES

Youth Choir
Our Youth Choir is open to singers between the ages of 8 and 18, and is under the direction of Cindy Dwyer. The Youth Choir sings at Mass twice per month. Rehearsals are Thursday nights 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM.  Youth must have good pitch ability. Cooperation with parents and children to commit to rehearsals and Masses is very important. Adult Choir
New faces are always welcomed! The adult choir sings for 10:30am Mass on Sundays from September through June, as well as for feast days and special liturgies throughout the year. We rehearse on Thursday nights from 7:30pm-9pm. Ability to read music is a plus, but not required. No audition- just come with a willing spirit to serve the Lord in song! Cantor Ministry
Cantors are skilled singers who help to support the worship of our congregation. Cantors must be able to read music, exhibit leadership qualities, and have strong communication skills. For more information or to set up an audition please email Naomi Capasso below.

Teen Music Ministry
The St. Aloysius Teen Music Ministry includes teen vocalists and instrumentalists. We meet Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30pm and we serve for the last weekend of the month, at the 12:30pm Mass. If you’d like to join us, please email Naomi Capasso at the link below.
